A purchase code is not the answer I am afraid. Unless you encrypt the script, which takes away all open source benefits.
That said, piracy is huge problem and we take measures to fight piracy. We are looking into some solutions.
we want this feature please anilozel provide us this feature.
2 gün önceCurrently, purchase codes are presented as a solution against piracy of scripts. Unfortunately, this is not accurate.
The only real option would be to fully encrypt scripts, which completely defeats the whole idea of open-source scripts — yet even then, people can easily bypass piracy protections.
I’m not aware of any reliable protection offered by Envato or other marketplaces (otherwise we would have definitely implemented it by now). And people don’t choose Envato because their products are secure. The truth is, nearly every popular script on Envato has been cracked.
Encrypting scripts and requiring activation creates a poor user experience for paying customers. People expect open access to the scripts immediately after purchase. For products that require activation, we’ve seen refund rates as high as 50%. Customers even request refunds through PayPal or credit cards. Because of this, we are very cautious about the customer experience — this is the only thing that really matters to authors and reduces their worries.
Having your software revoked is a terrible experience, and we are still looking for a better solution (yes, we’re still searching!). For now, the best approach is to provide excellent support and continuous updates. This is the only proven way to convert pirated users into paying customers.
Moreover, unlike Envato and Codester, Kodablex provides support through the platform itself — meaning pirated software users cannot access support.
The easiest way to deal with the warez site is to send DMCA reports, and get over it.
10 Saat ÖnceI'm not trying to be sarcastic here: forget about them. Here's my reasons :
1) You can spend tons of time trying to prevent pirates from pirating your stuff, or you can spend the same amount of time giving your paying users more functionality.
2) Extreme copy protection does not give your paying users anything but more hoops to jump through to use your application - which might lead them to get frustrated.
3) Pirates will pirate your applications no matter how much time you spend trying to stop them.
4) Budget a certain amount of time to put in basic copy protection - just enough to keep the honest people honest.
5) Most importantly: Don't irritate your paying customers. They are the ones you need to make happy.
I think a little protection wouldn't hurt, but on the other hand, I can't stop thinking about the fact that forbidden things attract people.
5 Saat ÖnceI understand your concerns. We will implement a license verification system.
